Brittany Birchall

Brittany Birchall has been an athlete her entire life. Starting with soccer at the early age of five, she developed a love for sports that led her on a lifelong athletic journey to try every sport that came her way. Brittany has developed as an athlete through soccer, softball, dance, sprint triathlons, and snowboarding. Her passion for learning, outdoor adventure, and athletics gave her the inspiration in college to take courses such as Intro to Sports Medicine, Wilderness Survival, Rock Climbing, and Backpacking. Brittany has over fifteen years of coaching experience through youth and high school level sports, strength and conditioning, and CrossFit; in addition she is a credentialed California school teacher and administrator. With a strong work ethic, a love for athletics and outdoor adventure, Brittany knew that something was lacking in her training experience. She found CrossFit in the summer of 2009 at Orange Coast CrossFit in SoCal. Soon after, she began training under the instruction of CrossFit legend , Ski and Snowboard Hall of Famer, and Olympian Eva Twardokens. “CrossFit gave me that competitive edge and intensity that I have always desired as an athlete.”

Brittany’s continued desire to seek out the best in the business makes her a well-rounded and experienced CrossFit coach. In the beginning of her CrossFit career, Brittany trained under one of the original “Nasty Girls”, Annie Sakamoto. Brittany has worked with former 3 time USA Olympic Weightlifting Team Coach Jim Schmitz and World Class elite powerlifter, record holder, and strength coach, Louie Simmons of Westside Barbell, which have allowed her to develop her coaching skills and expertise in the sport of CrossFit. Brittany believes that CrossFit gives people a second chance at health and fitness and allows people to break mental and physical barriers, while increasing one’s over all ability to be awesome, not only at their given sport, but at the game of life. “I am a mountain and ocean girl from California with love and enthusiasm for CrossFit, Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, outdoor adventure, and nutrition! I have played team sports since I was five years old and still do. I am passionate that CrossFit is the cornerstone to mental and physical breakthroughs, and I want to help you reach your health, fitness, and athletic goals!”
